Rain brings the number of goals in a game up?

From the games that I have seen that have been really rainy, the total has been really high. I believe that rainy games make for really scrappy goals, where the keeper is more likely to let the ball slip and where a defender half clears the ball out of the area.

I dont know if rain makes the number of goals go up a coincidence but if it is not, then it can prove to be an useful factor when betting the totals. Just hope I had some facts to back up this claim.

There's a high chance of surprise results under the rain, guess I'm not being original telling that.
About unders/overs, from what I've followed unders are much probable in difficult climatic conditions, but that also includes snow

Down. it messes the passing more than anything, but you are right, it affect the keepers judgement. no facts to back up, just dont bet if its in bad condition.

A lot of rain usually brings the number of goals down, since the players are spending most of their time trying to unstuck the ball from the mud

Rain generally has unpredictable effects, from one point of view the ball slips easier and tricks defenders(so a lot of goals),from another point of view rain makes passing a hard task (fewer goals).
